United States Opportunities for IT Job or workers in Bangladesh?
Indeed.com is one of the top web portals in the US job market. It is learned from here that at the moment there are about 1 lakh 11 thousand vacancies for software testers. Other job sites have similar information. As a result, there is no shortage of software testing jobs in the US labor market at the moment.
If software testing is a sector, then the job market for mobile automation, cyber security, database administration (JavaScript, CQL), front end development, etc. is expanding across the United States. The market is now almost solely controlled by the Indians.

Even here now Indians are in the role of big investors. According to a CNBC report, in 2016, 100 Indian-owned companies themselves invested about ৭ 16.9 billion. And in their own investment institutions, they prefer Indians as employees. In 2016, these 100 companies have given more than 1 lakh jobs.
According to a report by Goldman Sachs, the top US financial institution, 1,95,256 Indians entered the US technology labor market in 2015, accounting for 60 per cent of the total H1N1 visas allocated to the sector. This rate continued in 2016 and 2017. However, due to President Donald Trump's US First Economy policy, there is a risk that H1N1 visas for Indians will be reduced.
Bangladeshis see this as an opportunity. Abubakar Haneep, an engineer and founder of the technology company People and Tech, says, "Look, every year 75,000 people come to the United States on H1N1 visas from different parts of the world. There, our citizens are driving taxis with citizenship and green cards, or doing low-income jobs. If any of us can gain skills through training, then Bangladeshis can easily compete with Indians in this market. '
Mohammad Zahidul Islam is a new immigrant from Bangladesh. Within three months of America's inauguration, he got a job at a top IT company in the United States with a salary of ২৫ 125,000 a year. He did the course from the Dhaka branch of People & Tech, a technology training and job replacement company owned by Abu Haneep. With the rest of the training coming here, he is working within 3 months of setting foot on American soil. Bangladeshi Iqbal Ahmed has recently been appointed as the Cyber Security Officer of General Motors, a Michigan-based automobile manufacturer. He did a 1-year course from Wayne University in Michigan. These two new employees are spoken to separately.
Jahidul Islam was saying, ‘Now the whole of this industry can be said to be in the possession of Indians. But one day Bangladesh will lead here. When, it is not clear now. But with a little co-ordination, it can be seen very suddenly. '
Iqbal Ahmed said, ‘I am the only one in the cyber security position in the organization where I work. There are at least 60 more vacancies in that post. When 10 people start working, only 5 people think they are Indians. We just started to get in there. Bangladesh will one day lead in this sector.
John Sakhawat, a Texas-based Bangladeshi technology entrepreneur, runs a large company called Technosoft. It has branches in several countries of the world. Talking to Prothom Alo, Sakhawat, however, did not rule out this possibility. "It will not be possible for the Indians to rise at the moment," he said. However, from what we see, those of us who have ventured into this sector are doing much better. Many of us are working at the management level. Indians are either at the very top level, or they are working at the entry level, where many of us are working at the middle level. Due to H-1 visa, the number of Indians has decreased. If IT related education could be improved in Bangladesh, we would probably go a long way here. '
John Sakhawat said that the fact that Bangladeshis are coming forward in this job market can be understood by reviewing the recent trends. If there are 100 job openings in Texas, an average of 5 Bangladeshis are entering there. As far as I know, there is not a single person here who has studied IT and has not got a job. Many Bangladeshis have moved to DC from different parts of the United States. Seattle is also becoming a big company like a separate Silicon Valley.
Recently, Abu Haneep has taken the initiative to create two and a half hundred skilled tech workers from his company who will provide job opportunities in the IT job market in the United States.
But you have to go far. The rate at which Bangladeshis have increased is still much lower than the rate at which Bangladeshis walk. However, another entrepreneur Shahed Islam thinks that the participation of Bangladeshis in the technology labor market is increasing.
Shahed Islam, the main entrepreneur of SJ Innovation, however, said, "We have been seeing this rate for the last 4-5 years. There does not seem to be even 1 percent Bangladeshis there. However, Bangladeshis are coming forward in the work of outsourcing. One of the reasons for this is the spread of English education and the speed of internet in Bangladesh.
