POSITION: HEAD OF INTERNAL CONTROL & COMPLIANCE
Job Description / Responsibility
- Preparing audit plans, conducting/organizing routine audit of branches/head office divisions/departments, special audit and ensure compliance of audit observations/ irregularities/lapses
- Ensure strong internal control in order to improve service quality & efficiency of the organization.
- Follow up the inspection report conducted by Bangladesh Bank /other regulatory bodies/External Audit till rectification/regularization of the lapses/errors.
- Managing and supervising audit and inspection activities of the company as per ICC policy, Bangladesh Bank Guidelines and Corporate Governance Guidelines.
- Ensure compliance of the regulatory bodies and reporting.
- Manage control process validation to ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules and regulations.
- Manage entire affairs of the Internal Control & Compliance Division of the bank as Head of the Department.
Additional Job Requirements
- At least 05-07 years practical experience in banking/ relevant field.
- Candidate working as Head of Internal Control & Compliance Department in a renowned Commercial Bank/Financial institution will get preference.
- Sound knowledge on all facets of internal audit operation and core risk areas of bank- Credit/ Investment Risk, ALM Risk, Foreign Exchange Risk, Money Laundering Risk, ICC Risk, ICT Risk etc. Should have sound knowledge on risk based Audit.
- Considerable experience in preparing audit plan, conducting/organizing routine and special audit of branches/head office /departments.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Well conversant with regulatory requirements and business practices.
Educational Requirements
- Master degree in any discipline from a reputed university having no Third Class/Division/Equivalent GPA/CGPA in the Academic records. Educational qualification may be relaxed in case of deserving candidate.
- Professional degree of CIA/CA/CMA is preferable.
